Still ouchy.

This really isn't my run-of-the-mill back spasms. These are more lateral obliquey than lower back. How very strange.

Well, I won't be doing my running homework today. Another day of rest and then I'll pick up with the rest of the homework.

Sat in the sauna for a half hour at lunch. Stretched around a bit just to see how ouchy it is. No real sharp pains, so that's good.

  1. If it's a pain in the butt cheek it might be pirformis syndrome. Regardless, take some ibuprofen (runner's best friend) and you'll be fine in a day or two.

  2. Yes, I agree about the Ibuprofin. I was down/out with a bad lower back for 2 weeks a few weeks ago. I think it was more digestive/dehydration, but it was BAD. I used a heating pad for days and it just never got better, then I finally tried the ibuprofin and an ice pack and within 48 hours I was cured! My friend swears it was the 3oz. shot of wheatgrass she insisted I drink, but I'm more convinced it was the asprin/ice.

Hope you feel better soon! Bad back is the WORST!!

We'll try this for a while.
