Why? Part Two

When Dana asked why we lose weight, I forgot to give one of my most important answers. I wanted my daughter to know that it is possible to change a life. That my past did not dictate my future and that I could dig myself out of whatever holes I'd gotten myself into. I just had to get up off the couch. I had to be responsible for my own happiness. So another big reason? Pebbles.

  1. I lose weight pretty much for myself, because I want to be around and I want to live life healthily (is that a word?). I don't want to reach and older age and be frail and on a lot of medications because I didn't take care of myself when I was younger. I wish I had done this when I was in my 20s and kept it off instead of hitting 40!

  2. I lost weight because I didn't want to be like my dad. Like Lori, I wish I didn't have to hit my 40's before my mortality finally hit me - or before I got over denying my mortality. It's a lot harder changing 30 years worth of bad habits. But don't we ALL know that!!

ps - Great pick of you & Pebs.
