The canoe/camping trip was all kinds of awesome. I had a blast - once I sorta learned how to paddle. I covered a lot of ground in the easterly-westerly direction - when I most needed to go southerly. Not so good at the whole steering thing. But no matter - the weather was beyond perfect, the company was good and the views were spectacular. The ground, however, was very damn hard. I crawled out of that tent on Sunday morning and I wondered if I was going to be able to straighten up.

I managed to talk the new doc in to a thyroid rx without the thyroid panel first. I got the pills and then I got the bloodwork done. I got a call yesteray - What a surprise! You've got low thyroid. Not news to me.
It's looking more and more like David will be moving to San Diego. And we are not going to try to do the long distance thing. Intellectually, I am fine with it. The ego, however, is bruised.
Take good care of yourself. Be kind to others. You can't stop the waves but you can learn to surf.
